Married, retired, yoga teacher, mom of two grown sons and a gran-mama who is falling in love with the PNW would love to house and pet sit in Washington multiple times this year as we consider relocating to Washington after 20 years of living in Texas. Traditionally, cats are my ideal pet and animal but, recently, I'm warming up to smaller & mid-size breeds of dogs, too. Being 52 makes me mature in age but recently I've come to realize that I'm a work-in-progress on every level of life and doing my best to embrace it all.
Currently, I teach yoga on a very part time basis and am retired to semi-retired for now. I consider myself more of a cat person but I enjoy most domestic and farm animals as well as having a healthy respect for wild animals and keeping them wild. Some of my interests include the environment, yoga, healthy lifestyle, traveling, hiking, SUP/Kayaking, gardening, photography, wine, furniture refinishing - the list goes on... After the last few years of working on and healing my own mental health and chronic pain, my most recent passion is beginning to introduce others with chronic pain and CPTSD to new ways of healing their body, mind and soul. I am passionate about loving and caring for my husband of 29 years, my two adult sons, my new daughters-in-luv and our first grandluv in the best way I possibly can. I am passionate about living this last half of my life in a healthier state of mind than I did the first! I am passionate about continuing to build my relationship with God through my second reading of the Bible and all other avenues available to me!
My husband and I are considering relocating to Washington within the next year. We've traveled to multiple area of the west coast many times and now Washington state about half dozen times since 2018 and continue to fall in love with it's rugged beauty. To that end, house sitting seems like a great way to economically spend more time getting to know whether this is what we want to do while also being able to help out other people by giving them someone trustworthy and responsible to care for their precious homes, yards and pets so that they can fully enjoy their time away without worry. Though my husband will occasionally join me for house sits, I have cared for our own yards for years and am capable of operating mowers (push and rider), weed whippers (electric or gas) and blowers (electric or gas) if you don't hire that out already I am open to negotiating this into a sit. I'm a very active person when I'm here at home but, once your pets have the necessities of food, water and sanitation met & the gardens and home are tended to I'm really hoping that I can find it easier to be more relaxed, at ease and less busy by spending more down time cuddled up with kitties or pups researching the different areas of WA, reading a book or working on writing my own. I like to walk and hike so it will be nice having your pooch as my companion out there or even your cat if they're into it! I'll make a great sitter because I am responsible, honest and I care about doing my best for the safety, comfort and wellbeing of your pets and, hopefully, providing their humans peace of mind while they're away from their beloved fur friends.
