I'm an independent responsible and practical person. I like calm alone time in a peaceful place, so will be careful and respectful in any home. I'm happy in homes with or without pets.
I sold my house in January 2023 in order to travel and explore where to live next. I'm friendly and communicative.
My background is in science, IT, governance, community energy and volunteering. I enjoy gardening and the company of animals. So does my medium-small calm clean dog.
Although I will list the main areas I'm interested in exploring, if your place is somewhere other than that, tell me about it, as it might end up being of interest. Fortuitous discoveries can be the best.
I am plant-based and care about the environment, so if you have eco standards for your house or flat, you won't need to worry whether I will uphold them or not.
Having had my own house for decades (including within marriage), I'm used to problem solving if things go wrong and keeping an eye on things so they don't. I have a high respect for privacy, as I like my own.
So far this year I have been staying with friends and family, Interrailing, using (where I have 5/5 as a guest), and camping. Now I wish to sometimes house sit in areas I might live. This can be with well-behaved pets or without. I am happy to care for most pets, and enjoy good walks. Homes without pets are great too, I can look after the garden or house plants.
I have a small clean quiet and well-behaved dog, who gets on well with other dogs of all ages. He's fine with cats, though it is important they are comfortable with dogs, as I wouldn't want to upset them. He's neutered, 4 years old and doesn't bark or chew. He would generally come with me, although my daughters and friends can look after him for short periods.
