I'm a responsible, sensible, neat, fit, and experienced non-smoking dog/home owner whose 3 kids have grown up and am (finally) fulfilling my dream of living in various places for short periods of time.
I'm a freelance translator/editor so I can work from anywhere provided there's good wifi.
I love animals (I'm also vegan) and have had dogs for the majority of my life, as well as an assortment of other smaller pets. 
I would love to home sit for you and care for your dogs, cats, and other pets and plants/garden for periods between 2-3 weeks to 2-3 months. I'm very flexible re time and location.
I enjoy interesting and culture-filled cities as well as more remote locations with lovely nature and quiet outdoor activities so I'm open to all proposals.

Susan and Noa took care of our apartment in Copenhagen for 2 weeks and looked after our 2 cats. They were excellent guests and very respectful of our things. They bonded a lot with our 2 kitties and sent us photo updates frequently while we were away. Highly recommend them to anyone and would have them house-sit for us again!

Wow!!! We used Paws and Claws for a 2 week stay and she was truly amazing! She took our Chesapeake Bay retriever on many walks which she loves. She went above and beyond in every aspect. Our communication was fantastic, she took great care of our dog and cat, and our plants and our house was so clean when we arrived home. She even made us a special soup for our return home. She is so friendly and warm and an absolute delight. We will absolutely have her return!

We are so grateful that Susan agreed to sit for us.  We could not have selected a better-matched person for our needs.  She gave us so much piece of mind that our two precious pups were being well cared for and enjoying her company.  Susan followed our requests and wishes to a T, and made sacrifices to spend extra time with our older dog rather then out exploring the area.  We are so very appreciative of her care and consideration of our pups and our home.  We won't hesitate in the least to have her back - either for sitting needs, or a returning Friend!!

Susan looked after our dog and home for five weeks in the spring and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone. Communication was great both before and during the stay and we were so happy to receive regular updates and picture of our (very happy) dog while we were away. I asked Susan to arrive a couple of days early in case of travel delays and she was very accommodating. This also allowed us to get to know her a bit before we left, which was lovely. I felt completely comfortable leaving our dog in her care and we returned to a very happy and healthy pup.

If we go away again, Susan is the first person we’ll approach and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her; your home and pets will be very well cared for.
