I have worked in both Microbiology and in Gardening. I love animals and I am very partial to cats having had them around me for most of my life. My childhood cat, Tippy, lived into her 20's. We had other cats that came and went. While raising my son, we had two tabby cats. Both of them lived into their 20's. So, having a cat around, is totally natural to me and such a pleasure. All cats have different personalities, but I LOVE it, if they like to sleep in my bed.
I am a non smoker. I love to read, and I have many interests, including a love for art, food, travel and history.
My husband Mark is also a lover of cats and he is one of those people that cats instantly like. He was a supervisor/manager of Toronto Parks and was once a gardener. We share the same interests, including a love for art and architecture. He is an avid photographer, and most mornings he is off scouting his surroundings for pictures. He is also a non smoker. He speaks French and Spanish, and a little Portuguese and Italian. We like to travel together and make a good team, but if the situation feels better if it is a single female or male, then we can travel separately. The love for travel and for cats is deeply ingrained in both of us, so we are willing to try to meet all situations.
We travel about 4 or 5 times a year. We love Europe and Mexico.
We would take very good care of your home and your family (pets). We have had such great experiences so far and we have loved the cats we have cared for and the homes that we have had the privledge to temporarily live in. We have our own home in Toronto, and we take care of the homes of others, as we would like someone to take care of our home. We hope for the opportunity to meet you and we are more than happy to answer any questions that the homeowner may have.
