We need a house sitter for eight days in Pecos, NM who will feed, water, and walk our two friendly dogs plus feed and water the local birds at our feeders. These will be the only required duties other than cleaning up after oneself.
We depart on December 9th at 6:35 a.m. and need to leave the house at 4:30 a.m. to drive to Albuquerque for the flight. The sitter would need to be here on December 8th by 5:30 p.m. which includes an invitation to dine with us. You can arrange your schedule to leave on the 15th anytime after the dogs have been fed their evening meal at 5:00 p.m. and have had a chance to go outside for a bit.
Our modest home is located on one acre of wooded land off a dirt road. It has three bedrooms including a guest suite and bath.
The Village of Pecos is off I 25 and on Hwy 50. It has a charming restaurant called Frankie's at the Casanova and carry-out Mexican food store in the local Shell station. The food is good in both places. The Pecos National Historical Park is four miles from our home with a second section focused on the Civil War battle at Glorietta. There is also good biking trail four miles away and trout fishing year round. Santa Fe is approximately 20 miles west. It is a beautiful, historical State Capitol. There are many things to do there; museums, art galleries, shops, and many fine restaurants.
The nearest grocery is located 12 miles west at Eldorado. There is also a hardware store and various shops.
Our dogs, Yazzie and Willow, are friendly and like attention. All requirements for their care will be both demonstrated and written for the sitter.
